In 1922, the German-American type designer and punch cutter Robert Wiebking cut the font Laclede for Barnhart Brothers & Spindler in Chicago, named after Pierre Laclede, founder of St. Louis. The publication has been distributed by the Amiercan Type Founders after the company Barnhart Brothers & Spindler was closed ibn 1933.
